I was much less nervous going into the last twenty minutes than I have been in the past when we're under pressure. Never felt like they were gonna get back in it, was an excellent defensive display.

I thought they were ok last night. Obviously everybody thought we were going to get spanked so obviously when we go and spank them they obviously have to back their pre judgements with some obvious editing to obviously show that they were basically right but that were happened to get a couple of goals. Obviously.

The game was shown live here on NBC Sports. Robby Earle and the Mustoe bloke wrote us off before the game. They were critical of everything we'd done in the lead up to the game. Arsenal, on the other hand, were this supreme team who were going to hand us our arses.
Lee Dixon's commentary was very fair. With 20 minutes left he'd given up on Arsenal winning and had become very critical, largely because they showed no clue as to how to break us down. Funny, I started to believe we'd win once the board went up with +5 minutes....not enough time to fluke a goal, and then fall over and win a penalty with 3 seconds left.
Earle and Mustoe were very shocked after the game. They hadn't thought we could be that good.

I went on online to complain to the BBC about its highlights that was shown on MOTD2. Told them that the "highlights" broadcasted last night was practically censorship!

I think they should do away with the punditry all together and just show the highlights of the games. If you need to know what it used to be like, watch Brian Moore on The Big Match on youtube.

i thought Match Of The Day were restricted by Sky to show longer highlights to the games.
Why would they show a few bits of play where Sakho fell over or didn't have a clean shot, and as opposed to Arsenal actually having a decent shot?
And what kind of person would actually complain about this? Wow!

Jack, the sky highlights were even worse. 20 minutes and they only showed our goals. Made it look like a complete fluke

My main gripe is with the editting not the commentators
Most commentators (though not all) are anti-West Ham. Michael Owen on BT Sport probably one of the worst
You have to accept a bit of bias & you can always turn the sound off!
Our best passages of play & several of our goal scoring opportunities were editted out altogether
That is simply not acceptable

Look let's not view MOTD presenters from the WHU perspective only. Murphy comes over as very objective and balanced compared to the old boys team. We need more of his ilk, people who played the game that are able to take tribal loyalties out of their critiques. Like Neville he's a breath of fresh air.

Thought Danny Murphy was pretty good on us. Good analysis of our defense stopping Arsenal rather than them having an off day, mentioned how arsenal only had one shot on target in the first half, high praise for Oxford. I also like Mark Chapman. I like how he presses the pundits for more analysis rather than continually making shit jokes.

I think Dixon has always been good.
On both bbc & ITV he always seemed to be treated as a secondary pundit.
Presume he is just working here and there now that ITV have lost the Champions league.
